Nick Busscher – Chief Experience Officer

Nick is the Founder and Chief Experience Officer of Experience Marketing. He is responsible for overall company strategy, new business, and program planning.

Nick grew up in Saugatuck, a small Lake Michigan resort town, where he currently resides. From an early age Nick began to work in many of his family's businesses. Farming, Construction and Resort Management, which embedded in him an immense work ethic, consumer communication skills, marketing and organizational leadership.

Nick attended Northwood University studying Marketing/Management with a minor in Advertising. He became extremely involved in the advertising curriculum and went on to become president of the school’s American Advertising Federation, while graduating Summa Cum Laude. He studied business in Asia and world cultures in Europe. As an alumnus he has become a strong supporter of diversified learning experiences.

Nick obtained a vast amount of experience in the event business before venturing out on his own. He started his career with the Olympic Torch Relay, co-sponsored by Chevrolet and continued with GMR Marketing, Si Tour, and Campbell – Ewald.

Nick’s strong belief in experiential marketing means you will find him working late in the office researching, reading or building the next big idea in the event marketing world. He prides himself on creating truly unique experiences with friends, colleagues and clients. When he isn’t creating experiences for others, he is busy traveling the globe in search of his own memorable experiences.

 

Chris M. Chandler – Experience Director

Chris Chandler is an Experience Director and leads our Event Planning Department of Experience Marketing.  Chris had a considerable impact on the founding of Experience Marketing and has significantly contributed to our success at the executive level.
 
Chris was born in Petoskey, MI, a small town in Northern Michigan where he learned the importance of relationships, integrity, hard work and striving towards excellence.  He later lived in Midland, MI where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a dual focus on Marketing and Management.  He continued his education at the DeVos Graduate School of Management receiving his MBA in Integrated Management graduating in the top 5 of his class.
 
The service industry isn’t new territory for Chris.  He has held numerous jobs and won awards over the last 14 years priding himself on being both a student and teacher of consumer interactions.  He has gained valuable business experience from both small to large corporations, which has played a crucial role in our growth.
 
Chris currently resides in Midland,MI, but you’re better off finding him at one of our major events around the country.  If he’s not there, the golf course would be your next best bet.

 

Kim Busscher – Operations Manager

Kim Busscher is the Operations Manager for Experience Marketing. She is involved in the logistically planning of each event, including travel and finances. She is also responsible for the day to day financial operations of the company.

Kim joined the Experience Marketing team in early 2007, hoping to put her knowledge of the event planning industry to work along with an eagerness to learn in this quickly growing company.

Kim was born in Saugatuck, Michigan. Throughout her childhood, she learned the importance of work ethic and customer service skills while working at her grandparents’ resort on Lake Michigan. The core values of the service industry were strengthened when Kim began working at the Butler, a local restaurant in the Saugatuck area. Throughout her eight years of service at the Butler, Kim learned how much she loved interacting with people.

Kim attended Grand Valley State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Event Planning. She attained a minor in Spanish. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Honors College.

Kim currently resides in Holland, MI. When Kim is not in the office,she can usually be found volunteering at the Humane Society or spendingtime with family and friends.
